Brooklyn Treatment Application
The Treatment Application is written in Powerbuilder 5.0. In Brooklyn, the
application is running on a Digital Alpha server running UNIX. The
Treatment Court database is a Sybase SQL 11 database.
Treatment Court users run both Windows 3.11 and Windows 95 on
the client PC's.
Appearance history information and the New York State rap sheet
are
delivered to the Treatment Court through an open gateway from the
mainframe
system in Albany, New York.
Buffalo Information System
The Buffalo Drug Court Data Management Information System was developed in
Microsoft Access. Microsoft Access is a database management program and is
readily available from a commercial vender.
Minimum requirements necessary to operate the Buffalo DCDMIS
are an
IBM compatible Pentium computer with Microsoft Windows 95 or higher,
16 megabytes of RAM and at least four megabytes of free disk space.
The program in Buffalo is a network system. The program has the capacity to
network within the Court system and other appropriate agencies.
South Florida HIDTA System
Both the Courtroom System (JAMS) and the Treatment System (TARS) are
written in Visual Basic 6. The server from which the applications
run
operates on Windows NT. The database for both JAMS and TARS is a SQL
Server 7 database. JAMS and TARS users can run Windows 95,
Windows 98
or Windows NT Workstation 4.0 on their PC's. JAMS provides
information
on drug-related arrests and appearances to the Miami-Dade and
Broward
County Courts. Each county exports files from their Clerk of the
Court
systems into the database.
